Océ Museum

You are here: Home1 / The Museum

The Océ Museum monitors and maintains the heritage of Océ(- van der Grinten) and shows the rich history of the company, which has led to the innovative quality of the current products and organization.
The Museum was officially opened in 1982.
Activities to preserve the company’s history for posterity began around 1974.
Stories and old equipment were collected to illustrate the origins of Océ.
Finally, enough material had been collected to set up a museum.

In the Océ Museum you will learn about the development of technology, innovation and business in the world of communication and about copying and printing information, from blueprint to inkjet.
The exhibition goes beyond the Océ products and also shows the role of Océ in the economic, environmental and social infrastructure of the region.
It receives about 2000 guests per year. Visitors are Canon Production Printing customers, (former) employees with and without family, staff and other associations and interested parties, especially from the region.

The Museum’s activities are carried out by volunteers, mostly employees and former employees of Océ.

Océ merged into Canon Production Printing Netherlands B.V. on 1 January 2020.
The Museum will keep its name ‘Océ Museum’.
